Situation: a 28-person fabrication shop buying consumables from seven vendors, averaging 60 purchase orders a month.
What we did: shelf audit, min/max levels on 94 lines, Thursday replenishment route, single monthly invoice.
Result: purchase orders down to 4 a month; consumable spend down 11% in year one on like-for-like usage.
Situation: discontinued metric shoulder screws on a 1990s press line, quoted at 16 weeks by the OEM distributor.
What we did: identified a compliant alternate with matching material spec, supplied certs and two samples for fit check.
Result: production resumed in nine days at 38% of the OEM quoted price.

What we did: standardised the product list, tagged every order to a site code, quarterly reporting pack.
Result: two outlier buildings identified and corrected; reordering time cut by roughly six hours a month.
